Yesterday i got locked up for paint (HATERS) got bailed out today im on house arrest and im not supposed to have any kind of paint,paint pens,markers,or premanate markers. Hawthorne Heights, ”Ohio is for Lovers”, The Silence in Black and White, Alternative, January 17th 2006. This song is sort of dark with lines like “so cut my wrist and black my eyes so I can fall asleep and die tonight” but even though it is dark it still has a good message. It’s mainly about a love with pain and heartache (I know so original but you know you still love it). The song has a good rock rhythm not too hard a little screaming but its not so bad you cant understand what there saying the scream just gives the song more intensity. So pretty much if you’re a Hawthorne Heights or if you in a rough part in your love life or your partner is just a jerk you will love this song. [link]

Eminem, “Beautiful”, Relapse, Hip-Hop, May 12 2009. Eminem everyone knows him some people hate him and some love him either way you do know him. The song “Beautiful” made the U.K single charts in five days of being released. This song will have a different affect on people but it will affect anyone who hears and no matter how much time you do listen to this song it stills hits you. “Beautiful” is a perfect song to listen to with life has kicked you in the ass or if you just need to think about life this song is for you. With a chorus like “in my shoes just to se what its like to be me I be you lets trade shoes just to see what it would be like to feel your pain you feel mine look at life through each others eyes don’t let them say you aint beautiful” you can tell this song is lyrically strong. Disturbed, “Inside the Fire”, Indestructible, Metal, March 25, 2008, Disturbed is a heavy metal band their first single “Inside the Fire” off their fourth album “Indestructible” is a song that is a suicide note. The band if you don’t already know stand up for there beliefs and religions. This song has a great sound kind of dark and twisted but what more do you expect from Disturbed. There is a sick guitar solo that makes the song so much better. The lead guitarist and drummer work really well in this song. If you’re in a pissed of mood or just want to head bang a little this song if for you. [link]

Christian Falk & Robyn, “Dream On”, Robyn, Pop, May 5th 2006. Robyn is a pop/electronica artist. She is a singer and usually sings with techno like background beats. The song “Dream On” has a true but sort of sad meaning. It is actually a Christian song but is still good and has a nice techno/vocal feel to it. Soft tempo sort of fast due to the account of a techno beat. “Dream On” is not good for any certain emotion but is a overall good song but some people may not like it you kind of need to like techno with singing to really appreciate this song. J Holiday, “Bed”, Back of My Lac’, R&B, June 19th 2007. This track made number on bill board charts all over the world in a very short time. Now I must start off by saying this song is “inappropriate” since the song is about putting his girlfriend “to bed” (for the people who don’t know what that means it stands for having sex) but none the less this song is very romantic FOR GIRLS. Ladies do not play this song for your men. Now men I very much so recommend playing this song if they think stuff like that is cute. If your ladies do then I promise she will think it is very cute and will put her in the mood. Has a “sexy” message. This song might take a while before you start liking it. The first time I heard it I HATED it but I listened to it a few more times since my girlfriend at the time was OBSSESSED with it and what can I say it grew on me. [link]

Escape the Fate, “The Day I Left the Womb” Dying is Your Latest Fashion, Rock, September 26th 2006. “The Day I Left the Womb” is a VERY depressing song. The lead singer wrote this song for his family. His brother who is also part of the band was/is a heroin addict and his mother left them and this song is his way of venting his pain and heartache. If you have bad family issues for just want to know you’re not alone with dealing with family pain you should listen to this song. [link]

Prodigy, “Omen (Instrumental)”, Invaders Must Die, Techno/Electronic, February 16th 2009. Prodigy is a British techno group that makes a lot of “Rave” style music. The original version of this song was their 19th single off the album “Invaders Must Die”. The song does have a Techno feel to it but the instrumental version is without the singing with just the sick and intricate background beat. You hear a lot of digital mixers and electric guitar being distorted and there is a creepy feel to it when the music just goes to playing bells but this song is sick if you like techno with “Rave” style to it. Breaking Benjamin, “The Diary of Jane”, Acoustic, Phobia, June 6th 2006. Now I love acoustic version of songs I love the soft guitar and the soft tempo. In my opinion it really helps you grasp the meaning of the song. Now this version of the song is the third version and can only be found on the actual album. The song is about a girl named Jane and the lead singer Ben Burnley talking about her death in his own way. Now the video is very beautiful and this song is for those times where you need to go in that dark place in your mind and just think. [link]

Tech N9ne, “Dysfunctional”, Sickology 101, Rap, April 28th 2009. Tech N9ne is a VERY gifted rapper he can rap fast slow, he can rap about nothing and everything. The song “Dysfunctional” is one of my favorites off his album “Sickology 101”. The song is pretty much self titled. It’s about his life and how “Dysfunctional” his life is and really himself. It has a great meaning and it has a very powerful line that I felt like sharing “I carry Desert Eagles where ever black people are you know how black people are they keep them out” stating he is getting sick and tired of stereo types and “African Americans” need not to live up to them but instead change them. Sadistik, “Searching For Some Beautiful”, The Balancing Act, Underground, 2008. Now Sadistik is a very unique sounding artist. His genre is Underground Hip Hop. Sadistik is hard to find out about since he is underground hence why the date is only the year the album came out. His using poetic language to convey a message in every song he writes. He uses a very unique and different beat/tempo/and background. The song “Searching For Some Beautiful” is pretty self explanatory he is searching for beauty in a girl, in life, and most importantly in himself. If I had to I would recommend this song the most out of all of these tracks. [link]

I will be starting the first of hopefully MANY journal entrys of new and old music to listen to. Sadly no one commented or sent me a note suggesting a number of songs to put and since im doing this by myself im going to start off with ten songs. These songs will be from around the current time period give or take a few years. There will be one from each main and popular genere. The list will me set up like this

(EX 2:Angels and Airwaves,"Everything Is Magic",I-Empire,Alternative Rock,August 25, 2007. This is the first single off there album I-Empire. This song has a kind of up beat tempo but with lyrics that will either make you very happy or make you think about life in a certain way for the 4 min the song last. This is a great song if your in a new realtionship. This song and video is very inspriational the jist of the song is hold onto life and love and dont fear the rough times because there is always someone that loves you.[link])

I really hope people will look at these entrys and actually try to listen to this music i promise you will at least like one song on my list and hopefully this give you a chance to open your mind to other music.
